A few weekends ago, my PC of four years had kicked the bucket. Not that I miss it terribly or anything (I'm a Mac person), but it sucked because that meant that no one in the house could use the scanner.
The only PC left in the whole household is the netbook, which unfortunately doesn't work with the scanner at all. Stating the obvious, with scanners being so much cheaper than getting a new PC, we bought a new scanner that was Mac compatible.
It's a shame really since the Canon scanner is still in excellent condition. The one pictured above isn't bad actually, but I still miss the old one... :(
